As part of the fashion week fashion shows from designers and manufacturers of clothing and footwear are held at the central hall of the exhibition complex. One of the most notable events was a show called ‘Fashionable Steam Bath Dresses’, which featured clothing for steam baths, saunas, and SPA salons.

‘It all started back in 2001 with a collection of steam bath caps,’ told us the author of the collection idea, entrepreneur Vladimir Gabrielyan. ‘Today we have more than 150 models of such caps. And in 2004 I had an idea of creating fashionable clothing for steam bath: not just dressing gowns but dresses. That’s how we named our collection – “Fashionable Steam Bath Dresses” – for both men and women’. Sixteen models of dresses for steam bath were demonstrated during the show. The collection creators plan to create over 30 models.

Besides fashion shows visitors of the fashion week may attend workshops hosted by such well-known professionals of fashion industry as Aleksandr Hilkevich, Atyom Balayev, Anastasia Dianova, consultations from image stylists and business coaches, exhibitions and presentations of designer showrooms as well as the contest of young designers ‘New Generation of Fashion’. The forum will end with a grand fashion show on August 29th whose main event will be an exclusive presentation of the ‘Summer-Spring 2014’ collection from designer Aleksandra Serova.

An event oriented to footwear market professionals, International Exhibition SIBSHOES 2013 will take place at the Novosibirsk Expocentre in parallel with the fashion week. This project is traditionally held twice a year – in spring and autumn – to inform distributors from Siberia, the Far East, and Kazakhstan about the latest season collections of footwear and accessories. According to the event organizers, the exhibition will feature collections made by manufacturers from Italy, Germany, Turkey, Spain, China, Poland, and Russia. Total area of the exhibition is 7000 m2.
