Unique Authors' Works Will Be Presented at 'HobbyTime-Siberia' Exhibition

On March 13 -16 the Novosibirsk Expocentre will be hosting the 2nd Exhibition of Hobbies and Crafts ‘HobbyTime-Siberia’.  

According to the data provided by the exhibition organizer, ITE Siberia Company, the event will feature 70 exponents from Uzbekistan, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Novosibirsk, and the Novosibirsk Region.

The exhibition will include the following sections:

  • handicrafts, hand-madeitems;
  • culinary art, dish decoration, carving;
  • modular and remote-controlled models, scale models, and dioramas; 
  • photography;
  • reconstructions of historic events, role-playing games, team-based sports games;
  • collecting, antiques;
  • board games.

Visitors of HobbyTime-Siberia  Exhibition will be able to buy hand-made adornments, get to know unique techniques of creating adornments, interior objects, souvenirs, and other useful things. For example, craftsperson Marina Afanasieva will present her ornamentals with natural stones, made of copper and silver wire using Wire Wrap technique.  

‘Colibri’ Art Workshop will present adornments, pictures, interior objects, passport covers made using  decouper technique. ‘Beautiful and original objects create the desired atmosphere at your home’, say craftspeople from ‘Colibri’ Art Workshop. ‘Exclusive hand-made items will be good gifts for your family, friends or colleagues’. Beatriche Workshop will present a line of hand-made designer watches for companies and individual customers. Coffee lovers will appreciate a unique series of coffee clocks, and clocks with photos that will touch the feelings of all visitors of the exhibition. 

‘The clocks are made according to individual designs, all the details are paid attention to during the manufacturing process’, say employees of Beatriche Workshop. ‘Our clocks are often made using various mixed techniques: glass painting, fabric painting. We widely use leaf-gold, fusion elements, floral, natural, and artificial materials in our clocks and watches’. The exhibition program also includes different contests and workshops including:

  • patchwork contest ‘Counterpane’ from State Company LOGOS;
  • sewing and knitting contest with prizes from sibmama.ru;
  • various handicraft workshops;
  • Siberian Convent of Model Makers NovoSlet Siberian Model Show;
  • regional historical fencing tournament ‘Challenge 2014’; 
  • board game tournament;
  • backgammon tournament organized by ‘The Backgammon Sports Federation’. 

Visitors of the Exhibition can use the special free express bus departing from Karl Marx Square (19 Blucher St. bus stop) on the days of exhibition. The bus starts its route at 9:30 a.m.

Additionally, visitors can get to the Novosibirsk Expocentre by commuter train. A free bus will be waiting for passengers at Ob Station.

Schedule of the special Novosibirsk Expocentre bus was made up with regard to countryside commuter train schedule. Thus, the passengers who arrive at the Ob Station can take the special bus and get to the exhibition complex in only a few minutes.
