“UchSib” and “HobbyTime”: Time for Creativity and Education
The Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex hosted two exciting exhibitions - the 23rd Exhibition of Education. Career in Russia and Abroad “UchSib” and the 3rd Exhibition of Hobbies, Pastimes, and Creative Activities “HobbyTime”.
“HobbyTime” Exhibition brought together thousands of creative people from various cities and towns of Russia.
Everyone could choose the workshop they like – children and adults were creating pictures, making toys, clay figures, learning diamond embroidery, sewing patchwork items, and playing board games.
Visitors were provided with various materials for creative activities – mouline embroidery kits, beadwork kits, sample pictures for drawing, everything for quilling, scrapbooking, decoupage, painting on wood, fabric, ceramics, and many more.
Besides, visitors could buy ready handicraft masterpieces, hand-made decorations, and interior objects.
Irina Smolyaninova, who came from Barnaul and presented her decorations made of Venetian glass, noted that visitors “are so interested in her works, she has no time to look at other stands and talk to exhibition participants”.
Special attention was paid to the 2nd Siberian Show of Scaled-Down Models and the Siberian Forum of Bench-Scale Model Makers NovoSlet 2015 devoted to the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The exposition included over 400 works of various genres.
War theme was also expressed in the contest of patchwork tapestries “Victory Salute!” organized by “Logos” Company. Participants submitted 19 works to the contest; the 1st prize was awarded to the work by I.Yu. Kuzmina (Novosibirsk).
On March 14 “HobbyTime” Exhibition hosted the historical ball for anyone who wanted to take part – there were no limitations related to age or the level of basic training.
As Head of the Main Directorate of Education at the City Hall of Novosibirsk Natalya N. Kopayeva noted back at the opening ceremony of “UchSib” Exhibition:
“UchSib” is the first exhibition in the Asian part of Russia that allows everybody who works in the sphere of education, who are partners of education, including parents, to comprehend all the changes occurring in educational sector.
Institutions that provide pre-school, school, and higher education in Russia and abroad have been presenting their educational programs, conducting workshops, open classes, intellectual tournaments for three years.
For example, the team of Lyceum No. 9, which had been participating in “UchSib” Exhibition for several past years, presented their managerial and pedagogical projects aimed at improving the quality of education, as well as their own Lyceum Centre of Additional Training.
The Novosibirsk Region Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Business Development organized a collective exposition of companies that manufacture clothing for schoolchildren and teachers. The list of exposition participants included LLC Production Company “Prima Linia”, OJSC “Sinar”, LLC “Shans”, LLC “Venusita”, LLC “Clothing Factory ‘Priz’”, LLC “Elite Classic”, sewing studio “Classica”, “ViOla” Company, LLC “Rotonda”, UNONA Company.
All visitors of the exhibitions could traditionally get advice concerning education abroad in countries like Great Britain, USA, Australia, New Zealand.
We are pleased to note that the exponents had once again emphasized a high organizational level of events, and the quality of the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex.
