The Third Stage of the ‘Capital of Siberia Cup’ Drift Competition Is to Take Place at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex

The third stage of the ‘Capital of Siberia Cup’ Drift Competition will be held on the premises of the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex on September 27.

According to the organizer of this competition, the Novosibirsk Automobile Federation, the forthcoming event will be the final chord in the summer season of drift competitions. 

Let us remind you thatthe first stage of the ‘Capital of Siberia Cup’ Competition was also held at the territory of the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex this May. That breathtaking drift show wasattended by 4,000 spectators. 

According to the information from the Novosibirsk Automobile Federation, some pleasant changes await the spectators this time. Visitors of the drift show will be able to chill in the lounge area installed by a partner of the competition. The lounge area will include a bar stand, pear-shaped armchairs, an Xbox gaming zone, where every visitor will be able to take part in a virtual Formula 1 race.    

The lounge area will also include a tent with an arcade machine stimulating motion and two heat cushions. Besides, the lounge area will be equipped with Wi-Fi. All the visitors will be able to connect to the Internet and post their photos and videos to social networks. The drift competition will also be accompanied with music produced by sound equipment.   

The organizers of the event traditionally promise a lot of smoke and an exciting show.

Event Schedule:

12.30 P.M.– 1.00 P.M. – Opening of the competition, parade of participants;

1.00 P.M.– 2.30 P.M. – Qualification;  

2.30 P.M.–3.00 P.M. – Summing up the qualification results, publishing the results of the qualification and the start sheet;  

3.00 P.M. – 4.40 P.M. – Finals;  

3.00 P.M. – 4.40 P.M. – Parade of participants. Awarding ceremony for winners of the competition;

5.00 P.M. – 5.20 P.M. – Demonstration of sports cars to the audience.

Admittance of spectators starts at 12.00 P.M., ticket price is 300 rubles; children under age 12 accompanied by the parents may attend the competition free of charge. The tickets can be purchased at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre box office on the competition day.

The competition is held with the support from the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, the City Hall of Novosibirsk, the Novosibirsk Region Department of Physical Training and Sports, self-regulating NPO ‘Transport Union of Siberia’, and the STSI Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Novosibirsk Region.
