On April 8, 2014 the Physical Training and Sports Department of the Novosibirsk Region represented by Head of the Department Vyacheslav Bratsev, Physical Training Directorate at the City Hall of Novosibirsk represented by the Head of the Directorate Sergey Akhapov, All-Russian Union of Non-Governmental Associations ‘Russian Martial Arts Union’ represented by the President of the Novosibirsk Branch Yevgeny Pokrovsky, and Limited-Liability Company ‘Siberia Expo Centre’ represented by the Executive Director Alexey Vyatkin signed a cooperation agreement.

The participants agreed on conducting large sports events at the territory of the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex. Signing this agreement plays an important role in promoting mass sports events in Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk Region.

‘We didn’t come here today to simply sign a legal document. Today’s meeting is the start of collaboration in the sphere of promoting sports and healthy lifestyle in Novosibirsk. I’m sure that the legal procedure we had today will contribute to strengthening our collaboration and help us implement joint projects more efficiently‘, stated Executive Director of LLC ‘Siberia Expo Centre’ Alexey Vyatkin. Novosibirsk currently lacks sports grounds where such large-scale sports events as the All-Russian Combat Festival could be held. TheNovosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex is one of the largest exposition complexes in the Asian part of Russia. The Centre’s location at the intersectionof key highways, its proximity to Tolmachevo Airport, and the convenient business infrastructure of Novosibirsk turn the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex into the main business hub of the Siberian Region. Quickly transformable halls, high-tech engineering facilities, modern equipment, and telecommunication tools provide opportunities for conducting events of various formats and scale with up to several thousand participants. The Complex currently hosts congress and business events, exhibitions and fairs, concert events of international, all-Russian, and regional levels. The signed Agreement will also allow the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex to host different sports events.

On April 10-13 the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex will host contests in 15 types of combat sports as part of the All-Russian Combat Festival. It is expected that the Exhibition Complex will be attended by over 8,000 people during the Festival days.
