On June 20, 2017, the 5th Technoprom 2017 International Forum of Technological Development, an NTI Expo exhibition of science, technology and innovation, and Siberian Venture Fair were opened.

Technoprom-2017 began with the inauguration of the NTI Expo exhibition of science, technology and innovation.

Dear colleagues and friends! I extend my sincere congratulations to you on the opening of this remarkable exhibition - 20 countries, more than 6,000 participants and absolutely wonderful motto: "Do it in Russia." “The exhibition is a unique platform for interaction with high technology”, said Grigory V. Trubnikov, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.

Vladimir Gorodetsky said in his speech: "It is not accidental that one of the key scientific-technological and innovative exhibitions of the country takes place in the Novosibirsk region in the framework of Technoprom.” The Novosibirsk region is a leader in many areas of science, technology and innovation.

At the NTI EXPO exhibition, over 150 exhibitors represented their breakthrough developments, fresh ideas and new approaches to addressing sectoral tasks. The Republic of Belarus became a partner-country in the exhibition, having presented its collective stand with leading scientific and technological developments. Sevastopol - a city of federal importance - was a partner-region; a number of companies and research organizations from it presented their achievements of science and technology.

The fifth anniversary Lyubomir 2017 Forum was opened with an expert symposium devoted to results, prospects and alternatives of a new industrial revolution in correlation with the strategy of scientific and technological development in the Russian Federation, the outcome of the G-20 Summit in Hangzhou and materials of the World Economic Forum in Davos (2016-2017).

When opening the event, Director of the “Trendy” Foundation for Social and Prognostic Research, Vladimir Suprun outlined the benchmarks for the forthcoming talk: "A new industrial revolution is a global phenomenon that is not associated with any inventions like steam engine or computer, it is associated with a number of inventions. This is the first thing that is important. Second, it affects the industrial production, not only services. Third — it refers not only to economy and technology, but to the entire society: it changes the lifestyle, requires new skills and qualifications.”

One of the most important events of the Technoprom Forum is traditionally the Siberian Venture Fair - a dialogue-oriented platform for contacts of investors and entrepreneurs. At the plenary meeting "Growth Financing: Opportunities for Technology Companies," Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Policy Sergey Nelyubov reported that they take wide-ranging measures to support and develop scientific educational and innovative complex in the Novosibirsk region. In particular, legislative database has been formed and is regularly updated, a system of Government support measures has been created (subsidies to business incubators, tax benefits, etc.)
