Relevant Problems of Civil Society Development Will Be Discussed at the Novosibirsk Expo centre International Exhibition Complex

The 3rd Civil Forum of the Novosibirsk Region ‘Civil Dialogue’ will be held at the Novosibirsk Expo centre International Exhibition Complex on March 31 – April 1. The program of the Forum will include conferences, workshops, practical activities, and a plenary session featuring regional and federal experts.

The 2014 Forum has the following topic ‘Non-Government Initiatives Is the Basis for Successful Development of Territories’.

More than 850 people are expected to take part in the Forum, including activists of regional and local non-government organizations, members of the Russian Federation Public Chamber and the Novosibirsk Region Public Chamber, representatives of the legislative and the executive authorities of the region, socially responsible businesses as well as the winners of federal, regional, and municipal grant programs. 

The Forum has been organized following the initiative of regional non-government organizations and the Novosibirsk Region Public Chamber, with the support from the Government of the Novosibirsk Region. 

The list of main events of the Forum includes: plenary session of the Novosibirsk Region Public Chamber ‘On the Introduction of Public Monitoring and Independent Assessment of Service Quality in the Social Sphere at the Territory of the Novosibirsk Region’, the conference ‘Stimulating Socially Responsible Activities in the Novosibirsk Region’, the Siberian district seminar of the socially important project ‘National Cohesion – Unity of Russia: Forming the All-Russian Identity and Strengthening the Spiritual Commonality of People in Russia’.

Visiting session of the Forum participants is also planned. The experts will discuss law issues in the sphere of regulating the activities of the Siberian Departments of NGOs, NGO mechanisms and activity types related to forming healthy lifestyle, the role of local community boards in relation to local administration. The participants will conduct a seminar devoted to contractual sphere of product purchases, and services that satisfy state and municipal needs. Besides, a series of workshops and practical activities will be held.  

Representatives of the Russian Federation Ministry of Economic Development, the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, the Public Chamber of the Novosibirsk Region, federal and regional authorities, non-government organizations, and scientific community will present their reports at the Forum. 

The Civil Forum will be opened at 10 A.M. at Conference Hall No. 2 at the Novosibirsk Expocentre International Exhibition Complex. The opening ceremony will featurePresidential Envoy for the Siberian Federal District Viktor Tolokonsky, Vladimir Gorodetsky, temporarily acting as the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, Deputy of the Russian Federation State Duma Aleksander Karelin, and others.
