The exhibitions ‘AutoSib’, TransSiberia 2014, and the forum ‘Transport of Siberia’ include all main sections of the transport sphere: cargo-carrying and passenger transport, cars, transport and storage logistics, road construction and road safety. Total area of the exposition equals over 16,000 m2.

The events also feature representatives of regional executive authorities that curate issues of transport sphere and transport infrastructure, transport unions and associations, representatives of scientific and business community.

The events were organized with the support from the Russian Ministry of Transport. The opening ceremony of ‘AutoSib’ and TransSiberia 2014 exhibitions as well as the forum 'Transport of Siberia' were attended by the Russian Federation Deputy Minister of Transport Valery Okulov.

‘I’m glad that this forum is getting more and more attractive. This year’s agenda includes many hot topics of today. A rich program awaits participants of the events. Issues to be discussed are not only relevant for Siberia, they are important for the whole of Russia. With this said, the priority regions that require finding solutions to current transport problems are still Siberia and the Far East, since a great amount of resources are mined and new manufacturing facilities are created in these very regions. That is why there is high demand in developing logistic patterns and transport infrastructure, as only such an infrastructure will allow us to unite Siberia, link Central Russia to the Far East, and gain access to global transport corridors from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific Ocean. Issues related to ensuring transport accessibility of Siberia are particularly important for this region, and I am pleased to see that they have been included into the program of the 3-day International Forum ‘Transport of Siberia’, said Valery Okulov. High significance of the Siberian Federal District in the context of developing transport infrastructure of Russia was also emphasized by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation State Duma Transport Committee Sergey Ten. Among other things, Sergey Yuryevich noted that the state transport policy is aimed at developing inter-regional airplane transportation and a network of regional and federal roads. According to Sergey Ten, much effort is put into improving the legislative regulation of railroad andwater transport.

‘We have a clear understanding that Siberia must be comfortable and attractive for its dwellers. And of course, transport plays a very important role in this respect. Therefore, we are currently investing huge efforts into the development of inter-regional airplane transportation. As well as improving legislative regulation of railroad and water transport. It’s not by accident that the third forum is being held in Novosibirsk. Novosibirsk is an intellectual capital of Siberia, a major transportation hub that functions effectively for more than one century. I’m sure that the forum will allow us to discuss all relevant problems of the transport sphere in Russia, and we will be able to find optimum ways to solve them. I am convinced that this event is useful for the development of the transport sphere of Russia,’ noted Sergey Ten in his speech. The Russian Federation Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov is also to expected at the forum on May 30, 2014.

The events will be held until May 31, 2014.
