The 11th International Forum “Interexpo GEO-Siberia 2015” opened at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex.

“Interexpo GEO-Siberia 2015” is one of the largest congress and exhibition events of geo-sphere in Russia. This forum is of great importance for Russia and the entire global community.  

For the whole decade specialists and scientists from over 50 different neighboring and faraway countries have been demonstrating their scientific and practical achievements in the sphere of mapping, geodesy, cadastre, and land planning, geo-ecology, optics, and optical equipment engineering.

Ivan A. Goncharov, Head of the Investment Policy and Territorial Development Department at the Service of the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Siberian Federal District noted in his speech at the exhibition opening ceremony that “this event has already proven itself to be one of the leading platforms not only in Russia, but in the world as well. Today the Forum “Interexpo GEO-Siberia” has gone from discussing issues of science to topics and problems related to the introduction of new products and ideas; this is a big step forward that we should give credit for to all the participants and organizers of this Forum”.

Publications by Russian and foreign scientists prepared in the course of their participation in “Interexpo GEO-Siberia” have been making a significant contribution to promoting modern science. Within the past 10 years over 5,000 articles based on the results of the congress have been published, 9,500 authors have made indispensable contribution to the development of various industrial spheres.  

The exhibition section is featuring air drones, laser scanning technologies, new measuring tools, scientific and practical achievements in the sphere of geodesy, mine surveying, mapping, cadastre, land planning, and much more.

The business program planned for April 21 and 22 will include the following roundtable discussions:

  • Reform of land, urban development and cadastre laws 2015. Law enforcement practices.
  • Modern tasks in geodesic and mine surveying services for ore mining, oil and gas mining industry.
  • Current state and the prospects of using satellite positioning technologies in GLONASS-powered measurements.
  • Providing resources for developing the infrastructure of geo-tourism in the Novosibirsk Region.
  • Education and cadastre activities. Ways of solving the problems.
