The Siberian Combat Festival, which received the All-Russian Status in 2013, was held in Novosibirsk for the 9th time, and it was the 3rd Combat Festival held at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex. Over 2,000 athletes from 33 cities of Russia arrived in Novosibirsk in order to take part in the Festival. Competitions in 15 types of martial arts were held for four days at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex as well as other sports facilities of Novosibirsk.

Participants of the Festival demonstrated their techniques in aikido, karate, wushu, jiu-jitsu, kobudō, grappling, savate, taekwondo, cross-fit, spochan, judo, and hand-to-hand fighting. Over 9,000 spectators attended the sports event at the Novosibirsk
Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex. Novosibirsk athletes accounted for 80% of the finalists.

As the President of the International Aikido FederationChristian Ritor noted, the organizational level of the Festival is getting better and better over the years.

‘I’m glad to be here today. We also organize similar events in France but they are not as massive, entertaining, and large-scale as this one held in Novosibirsk. It is interesting to look at various kinds of martial arts. This variety gives spectators a tremendous burst of emotions. It’s nice to see that people follow different paths that lead to the same destination that is martial arts. I visited Novosibirsk 9 times, 4 times as a guest of the Combat Festival. I am the first foreign guest at this Festival, and I hope I won’t be the last. I want this Festival to attract foreigners. I’m very glad to be collaborating with the people of Novosibirsk and the Russian Martial Arts Union’, said Christian Ritor. The All-Russian Combat Festival also included finals of the beauty contest ‘Miss Martial Arts of Siberia 2014’. Six participants of the finals fought for the winner’s crown and the grand prix – a trip to Italy. The participants paraded in swimsuits, evening dresses, kimonos, and sports uniforms.
