All-Russian Show for Dogs of All Breeds ‘Legend 2014’ Took Place in Novosibirsk

Novosibirsk residents were granted an opportunity to attend the all-breed dog show that was held at the Nobosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex on July 5, 2014. Over 300 pedigree dogs from Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Novokuznetsk, Barnaul, Irkutsk, Prokopyevsk, Norilsk arrived in Novosibirsk to take part in the show.

Experts of RKF (Russian Kynological Federation) and FCI Georgiy Baklushin (the City of Moscow), Irina Koryukhina (RKF, the Town of Ivanovo), and Yevgeniy Lepyokha (RKF, the City of Ivanovo) were invited to assess the dogs at the show. The experts were given a difficult task – they had to single out 5 best dogs at the all-breed show plus the same amount of dogs at each one-breed show. Australian, German, White Swiss, Scottish Shepherd Dogs were ‘struggling’ to be the best. Dogs of working breeds including Rottweilers, Russian Black Terriers, St. Bernards, Bulldogs, Great Danes, Bullmastiffs, Dogues de Bordeaux, German Boxers, Giant Schnauzers, Miniature Schnauzers took part in the competition as well. Various terriers including Yorkshire Terriers, Bedlington Terriers, Scotch Terriers, Fox Terriers, Jack Russell Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Airedale Terriers were also presented at the show. In addition to that, the show featured dogs of other breeds – badger dogs, German spitz dogs, malamutes.

The Big Poodle of the classic white color called Nord Forest Almond Blossom became the best dog of the all-breed show ‘Legend 2014’. The dog is owned by the resident of Novosibirsk Yelena Baguto. The Poodle called Albus became the winner of the one-breed show of poodles held on the same day at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex.

The second honorary place was taken by the 11-year-old Bedlington Terrier. The dog is owned by Svetlana Pryahina (the City of Novosibirsk).          

The third place went to the Central Asian Shepherd Dog named Olympic Star Greenland. The owner of the dog came to the show from Novokuznetsk.  

The fourth place was awarded to the American Cocker Spaniel called Petrocrest Bona Adventica. The dog is owned by Irina Petrova (the City of Novosibirsk).

In the end, experts awarded the fifth place to the Alaskan Malamute called Ivanika Winter Tale. Owner of the dog lives in Novosibirsk.

All the winners were awarded goblets, rosettes, special dog food and, of course, applause from the audience.
