“Siberian Economic Forum 2015” Is to Take Place in Novosibirsk

















On November 19-20, 2015 the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex will be hosting the Second Siberian Economic Forum.

The Siberian Economic Forum is a large event for the participants of international economic activity in the Siberian Region. In 2014 the Forum brought together about 1,500 guests and 40 expert speakers from Russia, Kazakhstan, and China. The Siberian Economic Forum was not only attended by business people from the Siberian Federal District, but entrepreneurs from the central part and the Far East of Russia as well. Twenty-eight organizations gained profits from their status of being the partners of the Forum.

The 2014 Siberian Economic Forum was mostly devoted to discussing the practical issues of the Russian-Chinese cooperation. The theme of the Forum in 2015 got wider: “Russia and Big Asia: The Practice of Running a Business in Cooperation with China, Korea, Vietnam,Thailand, and India”.

The list of the Forum’s guests includes financial, industrial, trade companies of the region, as well as service companies interested in direct cooperation with companies from Asia.    

The theme to be discussed during the first day of the Forum is “Investments and Trade”, the second day’s theme is “Production. Services. Customs. Logistics. International Economic Activity”. The two days of the Forum will allow its participants to find answers to the following key questions: “Where to find money?”, “Who to buy materials from?”, “How to manufacture products?”, and “How to bring and sell products?”. Experts of the Siberian Economic Forum will help find the right financial solution for export, prepare an investment project for a foreign investor, teach the Forum participants how to manage currency risks, and tell them about export supplies insurance options.    

The program of the Forum also includes discussing the practical aspects of working with suppliers, typical mistakes of Russian business people in China, India, Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand, the peculiarities of buying stuff at online trade platforms, as well as the subtleties of manufacturing process in Asia and all its cycle: from renting a factory to administrating business processes. 

A separate section of the Forum is devoted to customs and logistics issues: analysis of transport routes, statistics and the peculiarities of border crossing in Novorossiysk, Vladivostok, Nahodka, Novosibirsk, Chita, Khabarovsk. Besides, the Siberian Economic Forum will allow its participants to learn about the subtleties of promoting Russian products in Asia, and Asian brands in the Russian Federation at the section “Marketing, PR, Branding”.
